The board discussed the overgrown area between Alman and Harkness. The board wants a long-term plan for maintenance and needs to establish an access way, most likely running on a strip of common area off of Kilgo. Residents who live near it say it’s currently infested by rats and snakes.
The board votes to have a landscaper remove the trees blocking the access route and clear the property in preparation for a fall seeding and the creation of a long-term maintenance plan there.
The board will have the grounds committee look into the fundamental issues on the property related to drainage.
Lawn Care
In the fall when it’s time for lawn over-seeding, the board will send out its annual letter to residents with tips on maintaining our lawns.
The board will also ask Charleston Management, our property manager, to let us know whenever there’s a new property owner in the neighborhood.
Some residents raised concerns about homes where trash cans are continually left in front of homes in violation of our neighborhood bylaws. As a reminder: Trash cans should not be left in front of homes. They should be stored along the side, behind the home, in the garage or screened from view.
Falling trees behind homes on Alman. Quote for $350 a tree has been received. More quotes are needed. Many of the home owners at the meeting said they would call around to get more quotes. Gabriel Liberty will follow up on this.
An "o" in Carillon Woods sign has falling off. Gabriel Liberty will look into fixing it.
Meeting adjourned at 7:49 p.m.
