Note, you do not need to be a committee member to participate in the grounds google group and projects. Committee members have the additional responsibilities of reviewing projects, following up on neighborhood feedback, and working with the board.

Area points of contacts are those in the community who "represent" an area. They raise issues to the general grounds group, support projects in the area, and are a source of information for the area. If you would like to be a point of contact, please let us know.

Report any safety concerns to the HOA Board
Routinely walk/ride through the neighborhood (perfect job for casual and dog walkers).
Pickup extraneous trash. Report widespread community problems.
Report street light outages to Duke Energy (https://www.duke-energy.com/customer-service/request-light-repair )
Check parks/playground/common areas to
ensure weekly mowing, trash and dog stations are serviced.
identify issues with playground equipment.
Inspect entrance ways (landscaping, lights, plumbing, etc.).
Participate in common area landscaping projects.
Provide yearly review of landscaping contract.
Liaison with the Landscaping Account Manager.
Liaison with specialized grounds services (tree removal, playground mulch, nurseries, etc.).
Attend annual community meetings.
Call periodic Grounds Committee meetings as needed.
Answer community listserv/email questions/concerns regarding grounds maintenance.
The Grounds Committee has no funding authority. All proposals must go through the full Board for approval.
We do NOT get involved in residential private property issues, we only cover HOA common areas.
