Carillon Forest 2014 Annual Meeting

Board members present include Gabriel Liberty, president, Nick Burton, vice
president, Eric Ferreri, secretary, Celeste Gardner, treasurer, Jim Gilliam, at-large.
We have a quorum with 26 homes represented.
Kevin Byrne, Rob Fowler moved and seconded motion to approve last year’s annual
meeting minutes. Approved unanimously.
Meeting minutes for Sept. 29, 2014 (our most recent meeting) moved by Celeste
Gardner and seconded by Jim Gilliam, approved unanimously.
Gabriel Liberty’s president report included updates on the hiring of a pond
management company; tree plantings on the patch of common land in Carillon
Woods; the relocation of several crepe myrtles; new picnic tables; a grounds
committee’s progress towards regular maintenance; successes by the social
committee; the creation of a new welcoming committee and improvements to the
board and committee structure.
Annual budget review
The annual budget proposed for 2015 would hold annual dues steady at $35. Total
expected income is $72,044, and total expenses projected to be $71,994. There are
no significant line item changes aside from a new, $500 expenditure to the
welcoming committee.
Line items for pond maintenance and the pond reserve fund were added to the
budget to stay in compliance with local ordinances.
We project our total neighborhood reserves to grow next year to $32,499.
Celeste Gardner moved and Jeremy Browner seconded a motion to accept the
budget as presented. The budget is approved unanimously.
Election of a new member
Jeremy Browner, 3722 Albritton Drive, a new resident in Carillon Forest, volunteers
to join the board. He’s an attorney and member of an HOA in a previous
neighborhood in Chapel Hill. He is unanimously elected to the board to fill the seat
vacated by Eric Ferreri.
